Job summary

Hitachi Energy Singapore is seeking a Local OU Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive business process excellence and CI initiatives across the local operating unit.

You will partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, lead transformation projects, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes HSE integration and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years in Quality Management, CI, Operational Excellence, or related roles.
• Experience in power/energy/electrical environments or similar industrial settings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with data gathering, analysis, and performance measurement.
• Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, problem-solving methodologies, and quality tools.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support CI projects, Kaizen events, and process improvements.
• Plan, execute, and sustain CI projects with measurable outcomes.
• Analyze processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with local management and stakeholders to address challenges.
• Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, and problem-solving workshops.
• Monitor project performance and benefits realization; report progress to stakeholders.
• Promote standardization and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Support deployment of CI practices and foster a culture of operational excellence.
• Coach teams on CI tools, methodologies, and customer-focused problem solving.
• Ensure HSE considerations in improvements and risk assessments.
• Provide data-driven insights and performance metrics.
