Job summary

UCT is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead customer quality investigations and drive CAPA activities within a fast-growing semiconductor-related environment. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve quality concerns and ensure robust corrective actions.

The role requires ISO 9001 experience, root-cause analysis skills, and a proactive mindset to improve product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing or production.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in customer complaint handling, CAPA, root cause analysis, and audit management.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• Proficient in root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, etc.).
• Knowledge of CAPA, non-conformance management, and quality auditing techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Good organizational and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality data analysis tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service teams to address customer quality concerns and quality-related issues.
• Lead cross-functional investigations for customer complaints and quality incidents to determine root causes.
• Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for customer quality issues.
• Validate effectiveness of implemented corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
• Prepare and issue Quality Alert Notices when required.
• Support and follow up on customer-related CAPA activities.
• Support investigation and closure of part damage and non-conformance CAPA activities.
• Support customer audits conducted at the Singapore facility.
• Coordinate and track audit findings, corrective actions, and improvement plans.
• Monitor completion of audit action items and verify effectiveness of implemented actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional projects supporting operational excellence initiatives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
