Job summary

Rotary Engineering Pte. Ltd. seeks an Inspector to oversee quality levels of field works including tankage, piping, steel structures, welding and painting.

You will interpret drawings and verify materials meet requirements, acting as an internal independent QC verifier on site and at vendor facilities. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ASME/ANSI codes, coordinating radiography with NDT subcontractors, preparing inspection and non-conformance reports, and reinforcing safe HSE

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent certification.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI Welding certification.
• BGAS Gr.2 or NACE Level 2 Painting certification.
• 3–5 years in Inspection and Quality Control in Oil & Gas, Power or Chemical plants.
• Experience in inspection, QC, testing and commissioning works.

Responsibilities

Job description

Description

Responsible for the quality levels of field works such as tankage, piping, steel structures, welding, painting etc.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction and technical drawings.
• Communicate engineering/technical/quality requirement to team individual.
• Verify that incoming materials meet the requirements.

• Acts as an internal independent party for the verification of quality welds and ensure that incoming materials meet with specifications.
• Perform inspection as per the approved ITP.
• Inspection at vendors shop facilities and work-sites, on fabricated pipes, steel structure, blasting, painting works, galvanizing or other installation works per ASME and ANSI codes, including verification of tests at their premises.
• Check for weld joint preparations, fit-up alignment, dimensional tolerances and visual check on weld.
• Liaise with NDT sub-contractors for radiography test, etc.
• View and interpret radiograph films before review of client inspectors.
• Follow-up on corrective action of non-conforming products.
• Prepare and compile inspection reports, non-conformance reports and other quality control.
• Monitor welders’ performance and the welding procedures to check for compliance.
• Witness and verify the welding procedures qualification tests and welders’ performance qualification tests.

• Implement and monitor proper storage, handling and usage of welding equipment and welding filter rods.
• To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
• To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.

Requirements

• Preferably Diploma in Engineering or accredited certifications for various discipline of inspection.
• With CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI certification for Welding
• With BGAS Gr. 2 or NACE Level 2 certification for Painting
• Preferably 3-5 years in Inspection and Quality Control for Oil and gas industry.
• Preferably with experience in Inspection, Quality Control, testing and commissioning works of Construction for Power, Oil and Chemical Plants
