Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd is seeking a QA Manager with Production experience to support a Singapore-based manufacturing client. You will lead QA/QC teams and drive food safety programs under FSSC 22000/ISO 22000 standards.

You will oversee audits, inspections, training, incident management, and continuous improvement across production, warehouse and R&D functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and product quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of QA/QC or food safety experience in food manufacturing under FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000.
• Internal auditor certification in FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000.
• Experience leading QA/QC teams and collaborating with Production.
• Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and MUIS Halal.
• Hands-on experience in internal and external audits, production inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Experience as a Food Safety Team Leader, including incident management, traceability and recalls.
• Ability to develop and deliver training for QA, QC and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop QA/QC teams, allocating responsibilities and monitoring performance against KPIs.
• Establish, maintain and improve the Food Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000, MUIS Halal, SFA export and customer specs.
• Serve as the Food Safety Team Leader, overseeing hazard analysis, risk assessments, validation and verification.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate certification, regulatory and customer audits, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Oversee routine inspections of production, processing, packing, warehousing and loading areas to ensure GMP and quality compliance.
• Develop and deliver training on GMP, HACCP, CCPs, OPRPs, hygiene, allergen control, food defence and food fraud; maintain competency records.
• Lead investigations into food safety incidents, product deviations and recalls.
• Oversee laboratory testing programmes for materials and products; address out-of-spec findings.
• Monitor quality costs and implement improvements to reduce waste while maintaining standards.
• Maintain document control and quality records; prepare performance reports and management reviews.
• Partner with Production, Warehouse, Finance and R&D on quality controls and new product development.

We are looking for a QA Manager with Production experience to support our client in the Manufacturing sector. Our client is a Singapore Company, and we are looking for potential candidates to support them initially for expansion plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee laboratory testing programmes for raw materials, in-process products, finished goods and environmental samples, reviewing results and addressing out-of-specification findings.

• Monitor quality-related costs and implement improvements to reduce rework, wastage, defects and non-conformities while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

• Maintain document control and accurate quality records, prepare performance reports and participate in management reviews.

• Partner with Production, Warehouse, Finance and R&D on quality controls, process improvements, trials and new product development.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of QA/QC or food safety experience in food manufacturing environments operating under FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000.

• Internal auditor certification in FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000.

• Proven experience leading QA/QC teams and working closely with Production.

• Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and MUIS Halal requirements.

• Hands-on experience in internal and external audits, production inspections and regulatory compliance.

• Experience as a Food Safety Team Leader, including incident management, traceability and product recalls.

• Ability to develop and deliver training for QA, QC and Production teams.
