Job summary

HELIUS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to design and execute test strategies for financial applications, collaborating with stakeholders across interfaces to deliver quality software.

You will drive end-to-end testing, define testable user stories and acceptance criteria, participate in stand-ups and retrospectives, and stay abreast of testing best practices and tools to mitigate risk and improve product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience testing financial/banking apps like internet/mobile banking.
• Advanced test methodologies and approaches.
• Experience with test tools for management, planning, defects, automation, and data.
• Experience with Agile and testing tools like JIRA/Confluence a plus.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing test automation based on BDD.
• Proven ability to work on Agile projects and deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute testing activities: analyse requirements, develop test strategies and test plans.
• Deliver end-to-end testing for applications in collaboration with stakeholders/interfaces.
• Ensure timely delivery of testing milestones across the project.
• Participate in inception, daily stand-ups and retrospectives and represent testing.
• Assess and report test results, progress, and product quality accurately.
• Define testable user stories and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Stay updated on QA/testing best practices, tools, frameworks and standards.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate testing risks and issues.

Job description

Role: Automation Test Engineer

• 1. Prepare and execute testing i.e. analyses requirements, develop test strategies, test plan, test scenarios/cases.
• 2. Responsible for end to end testing delivery for the applications in collaboration with other stakeholders/interfacing systems.
• 3. Responsible for the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
• 4. Actively participate in inception, daily stand-ups and retrospective meeting & represent testing
• 5. Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality
• 6. Work effectively to define testable user stories, acceptance criteria, with all stakeholders
• 7. Stays abreast of QA & Testing best practice and latest available tool, frameworks and standards.
• 8. Risk and Issue Management - Identify, mitigate and elevate testing risks and issues

Requirements

• - Experience in the field of financial/banking applications testing (i.e. Internet banking, Mobile banking)
• - Advanced knowledge of test methodologies and approaches.
• - Experience of using and implementing a variety of test tools, including tools for test management / planning, defect tracking, test automation, test data management
• - Experience with Agile & Testing Tools like JIRA, Confluence would be an advantage
• - Extensive experience in designing and implementing test automation based on BDD
• - Experience of working on agile projects and deliveries
• - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
