Job summary

KLA is seeking a Procurement & Supply Management leader in Singapore to drive daily purchasing, supplier management, and cost optimization across cross-functional teams. You will shape procurement strategy, manage key KPIs, and mentor a growing team to deliver high-quality materials on time.

You will collaborate with Planning, Operations, Engineering and Finance to support business priorities, implement process improvements, and advance digital initiatives within procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in supply chain, procurement, business or engineering.
• 5+ years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily purchasing activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders within authorized limits.
• Monitor inventory levels, supplier lead times, and demand forecasts to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
• Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Logistics to support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations.
• Coach and develop purchasing team, set performance goals, and drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Procurement & Supply Management

• Lead and supervise daily purchasing activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services.

• Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders within authorized limits.

• Monitor inventory levels, supplier lead times, and demand forecasts to prevent material shortages and excess inventory.

• Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams to support business objectives.

Supplier Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews based on quality, delivery, service, and cost.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and favorable commercial agreements.

• Work with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, and service issues.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, coach, and develop purchasing team members.

• Establish performance goals and monitor team productivity.

• Provide training on procurement systems, policies, and best practices.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Cost Management & Process Improvement

• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.

• Analyze purchasing trends, spending patterns, and supplier performance metrics.

• Drive process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

• Support digitalization and automation initiatives within procurement processes.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethics standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.

• Support internal and external audits as required.

• Ensure adherence to approved supplier and sourcing strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.

• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.

• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
