Job summary

KOK TONG MOTORS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing, from quotation evaluation to procurement execution, with emphasis on cost efficiency and supplier relationships.

You will coordinate inbound shipments, monitor supplier performance, maintain records, forecast needs and support the Sales team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in procurement or supply chain management is required.
• Knowledge of automotive industry and spare parts is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Degree in SCM, Business Admin or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including quotation evaluation and procurement execution.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service agreements to achieve cost efficiency and business objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
• Coordinate inbound shipments from overseas suppliers and manage the import documentation.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resolve shipment issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, databases and documentation.
• Forecast purchasing needs and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Provide administrative support to Sales team to ensure smooth business operations.
• Assist with coordination of administrative tasks and operational matters when required.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field


• Min. 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP system


• Strong negotiation, communication and problem solving skills


• Able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment


• Knowledge of heavy vehicles and spare parts is an added advantage


• Able to start immediately or within short notice preferred
