Job summary

A prominent procurement firm in Singapore is looking for a Procurement Specialist. You will manage end-to-end procurement activities, negotiate costs with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of provisions to vessels. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management and at least 3 years of experience in the Marine sector. Responsibilities
  • Handle end-to-end procurement activities, including raising requisitions, sourcing quotations, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery in accordance with purchasing standards.
  • Negotiate costs and foster effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage the supply of provisions and fresh water to vessels.
  • Ensure timely processing and delivery tracking of all orders.
  • Develop inventory systems and perform regular stock audits of received items.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and vessel personnel on requisition matters.
  • Work in close coordination with the Shipping division and the appointed launch representative.
  • Undertake additional tasks as instructed by the Purchasing Manager.
Requirements
  • Possess a Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Marine or a related sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
  • Detail-focused and well-organized.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools.
