Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in ship chandling or marine procurement.
• Familiar with ship stores, spare parts and provisions procurement.
• Excellent communication and coordination with crew, suppliers, warehouse and forwarders.
• Familiar with digital system operation and able to complete online product listing and system data management.
• Strong ability in supplier sourcing and resource development with proactive working attitude.
• Able to work under pressure, detail-oriented, independent and adaptable to fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete full procurement cycle for ship stores, spare parts and crew provisions including inquiry, quotation comparison, ordering, order tracking and delivery inspection
• Coordinate with crew members and operate digital procurement system to complete product filing, online listing and data maintenance
• Promptly respond to and resolve crew procurement inquiries and issues, improve onboard procurement efficiency and service quality
• Source, develop and manage qualified suppliers and continuously expand supply channels to optimize procurement cost, quality and lead time
• Track logistics, billing, shipment errors and return and replacement issues to ensure full process closure
• Complete other ad-hoc procurement tasks assigned by management
