Job summary

DINGHENG INTELLIGENT SUPPLY CHAIN (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive Procurement professional to source ship stores, provisions and marine supplies, negotiate supplier quotes, and issue purchase orders to support vessel requirements.

You will coordinate with warehouse, logistics and finance teams to ensure timely delivery, maintain records, and continuously identify alternative suppliers to improve cost, quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine supply, ship chandling, or vessel provisions preferred.
• Experience in purchasing ship stores and/or vessel provisions advantageous.
• Familiarity with marine products, suppliers and vessel supply requirements.
• Strong sourcing, quotation comparison and price negotiation skills.
• Able to coordinate multiple orders and work under time-sensitive operational requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Willing to support urgent vessel requirements when needed.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase ship stores, provisions, spare parts and other marine supplies based on vessel and customer requirements.
• Handle RFQs, obtain and compare supplier quotations, negotiate prices and prepare purchase orders.
• Source fresh, frozen and dry provisions and coordinate with provision suppliers to meet vessel requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and identify alternative sources to improve cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with warehouse, operations, drivers, suppliers and customers on order fulfilment and delivery schedules.
• Monitor urgent orders and resolve purchasing or delivery issues promptly.
• Verify purchased items against specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, purchase orders and related documentation.
• Assist with inventory planning and replenishment of commonly used marine supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase ship stores, provisions, spare parts, consumables and other marine supplies based on vessel and customer requirements.
• Handle RFQs, obtain and compare supplier quotations, negotiate prices and prepare purchase orders.
• Source fresh, frozen and dry provisions and coordinate with provision suppliers to meet vessel requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and continuously identify alternative sources to improve cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with warehouse, operations, drivers, suppliers and customers on order fulfilment and delivery schedules.
• Arrange and monitor local transportation, collection, delivery and other logistics operations .
• Monitor urgent orders and resolve purchasing or delivery issues promptly.
• Verify purchased items against specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, purchase orders and related documentation.
• Assist with inventory planning and replenishment of commonly used marine supplies.
• Work closely with the Operations, Warehouse & Logistics and Finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Perform other purchasing, logistics and operational duties as required.

Requirements

• Relevant working experience in marine supply, ship chandling, vessel provisions, ship stores or a related maritime supply environment is preferred.
• Practical experience in purchasing ship stores and/or vessel provisions will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with marine products, suppliers and vessel supply requirements is preferred.
• Good sourcing, quotation comparison and price negotiation skills.
• Able to coordinate multiple orders and work effectively under time-sensitive operational requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and other purchasing/ERP systems.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with purchasing, warehouse, logistics and operations teams.
• Willing to support urgent vessel requirements when operationally necessary.
