Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to tackle challenging public-sector software problems in a modern, product-focused environment. You will design and implement scalable full-stack applications, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability, while collaborating across teams.

You will mentor peers, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to CI/CD and IaC initiatives to ensure reliable services for Singaporeans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with impactful solutions.
• Strong experience building large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Proficiency in Next.js/React.js frontend and Java/Python/TypeScript backend.
• Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerisation, and CI/CD with IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable full-stack software solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements.
• Write clean, well-tested code and perform thorough code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural design and technology choices.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation and discussions.
• Ensure smooth deployment pipelines, monitoring, and incident response.
