GovTech is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead cross‑functional squads and design scalable, secure software solutions for Singapore’s public sector. You will mentor engineers, set coding standards, and drive adoption of modern technologies including AI tools to raise output quality.

You will work on high‑impact projects—from data platforms to healthcare tech—across a 2‑year fixed term contract, collaborating with product managers and designers in an environment that values quality,

Competenze

• 7–12 years of software engineering experience building large high‑availability systems at scale.
• Proven track record leading and delivering technically complex products.
• Strong experience with modern full‑stack web technologies and backend languages.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Excellent communication for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bonus: legacy modernization projects and platform transitions.

Mansioni

• Lead cross‑functional squads with Engineers, Product Managers and Designers to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Design and architect software with emphasis on security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor teammates and uplift engineering competencies within the team.

• Identify technical debt and risks while balancing feature delivery.
