Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board is seeking an Executive/Senior Engineer, Project Development (Mechanical) for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant Construction. You will lead safety audits, risk reviews and design verifications, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards throughout construction.

You will coordinate with safety teams, monitor project schedules, and oversee T&C activities to ensure successful commissioning of plant equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction of water/wastewater treatment plants and management of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Advantageous to have experience in design, operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety audits, review risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures to ensure contractors’ compliance with safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Consultant’s safety team to ensure all project stakeholders comply with safety standards and practices.
• Conduct random site inspections on progress of work and site safety.
• Perform independent design review of contractors’ submittals of equipment and systems to ensure compliance with specifications, safety and operational/maintenance requirements.
• Monitor contractors progress by tracking the project schedule against actual work on site through regular monthly meetings.
• Oversee and monitor the testing & commissioning (T&C) of equipment; review T&C plans and procedures and participate in T&C activities.
