Job summary

The GMP Group in Singapore is seeking a hands-on engineer to design and develop First Article projects, including tooling, artwork, materials and processes. You will prepare technical drawings and coordinate fabrication with suppliers.

You will work with engineers and production operators to design fixtures, perform inspections, drive yield and cycle-time improvements, and execute assigned tasks with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with MS Office; experience with 3D modelling software such as Pro/ENGINEER.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
• Self-motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work overtime and participate in hands-on prototype development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FA projects, including tooling, artwork, materials and processes.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation for tooling/ artwork fabrication.
• Liaise with suppliers to coordinate fabrication of tooling and artwork.
• Coordinate FA production runs and submit FA reports.
• Collaborate to design and fabricate test fixtures, jigs, and tools.
• Inspect equipment, coordinate preventive maintenance and maintain fixtures/jigs/tools.
• Perform product failure analysis and drive improvements in yield, cycle time and cost.
• Execute engineering tasks and projects as assigned by engineers/managers.
• Perform other engineering and production duties as required.
