Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment) to design and implement machine processes that improve efficiency, reliability and product quality.

You will lead FAT/SAT, define specs, perform root-cause analysis with 8D/DMAIC, and collaborate with design and manufacturing to scale prototypes for production readiness. Onsite work ~20% travel to customer environments; SPC and Six Sigma are used to reduce variation and cut costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment design, process integration, and manufacturing principles.
• Experience with SPC, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing and customer teams.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, Minitab).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement machine processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
• Conduct process corner studies to optimize parameters and keep machines within specs.
• Analyze machine performance data to identify trends and resolve process issues.
• Develop and validate process control strategies to ensure consistent equipment performance.
• Lead equipment qualification activities, including FAT and SAT.
• Define and document machine technical requirements, SOPs, and risk assessments (PFMEA).
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment/process issues using 8D and DMAIC.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and maintainability of new equipment.
• Scale prototypes for production readiness and support new product development.
• Train manufacturing and customer service on process standards and troubleshooting.
• Monitor throughput and implement process cycle time improvements.
• Evaluate new materials for compatibility with equipment and processes.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and customer support as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance such as JEDEC/EIA standards.
• Apply SPC and Six Sigma to reduce variation and improve process capability.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce operational costs.
