Guthrie Properties (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to handle preventive and corrective maintenance across building services, including M&E systems. You will manage defects, coordinate with external contractors, and keep comprehensive maintenance records.
The role requires hands-on experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repair works, along with the ability to read drawings and safety standards.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of building facilities, equipment, and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire protection systems, generators, and other M&E systems to ensure safe and efficient operations
Attend to maintenance requests, reported defects, breakdowns, and emergency repairs in a timely manner
Conduct routine inspections of building facilities and equipment to identify defects, safety hazards, or areas requiring repair or improvement and report findings to Property Manager
Read and interpret technical drawings, including electrical, plumbing, and building layout plans
Liaise with, coordinate, and supervise external contractors and service providers during maintenance, repair, servicing, and installation works
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, inspection reports, service records, spare parts inventory, and consumable stock
Support the Property Manager in the day-to-day property maintenance operations
Carry out general handyman works, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, patching, and other repair works as required
Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Minimum NTC/NITEC in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or mechanical and electrical (M&E) services
Hands-on experience in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair works
Able to read and interpret basic electrical diagrams, building drawings, and layout plans
Knowledge of building services and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and M&E systems
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
