Job summary

Canon Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a senior R&D professional to lead the development of new laser printer products in collaboration with Canon INC Japan. You will investigate development problems, conduct measurements, and drive rework on engines and supplies as needed.

You will also coordinate schedules and report technical issues between client and Canon INC. The role requires extensive printer-related R&D experience, strong project management and leadership, and fluent English and Japanese

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of printer-related R&D experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Japanese.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Laser Printer New Products Development Support

• Cooperate with client and Canon INC (Japan, Headquarter) to achieve the development of new products on both engines and supplies
• Investigation on problems relating Clienttesting’s and conduct measurements required for development
• Conducting rework engines and supplies when needed
• Connect and report between Client &Canon INC, relating schedule, concept and technical issues for each program

Laser Printer Current Products Quality Support

• Cooperate with Client and Canon INC to confirm the status of quality issues and to solve
• Report status to Canon INC on urgent issues
• Connect communications between Client and Canon INC

Market survey for New Products Development

• Conduct market research when necessary
• Cooperate with other optimal sections internally or other Canon group companies for each cases
• Report results to Canon INC

Requirement

• Minimum 12 years working experience.
• Minimum 12 years printer related R&D experience.
• At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field is required.
• Possess good knowledge of R&D.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication in both English & Japanese as this role will need to liaise frequently with head office in Japan
• Good project management skill.
• Strong organizational and leadership skill.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
