Job summary

Canon Singapore is seeking an Application Engineer to support lithography equipment in semiconductor manufacturing. You will set up lithography recipes and optimize parameters while troubleshooting issues for customers across Southeast Asia and beyond.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience with semiconductor equipment, hands-on wafer fabrication knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Expect regional travel and collaboration with Canon engineers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in semiconductor equipment support.
• Hands-on experience with wafer manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with lithography equipment processes is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up lithography machine recipes and optimize parameters.
• Troubleshoot application issues and report to customers.
• Learn lithography tool fundamentals and operate related equipment.
• Possible weekend/public holiday/night time support.
• Travel overseas to Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, India.
• Collaborate with on-site engineers or Canon application engineers abroad.
• Communicate and report to customers directly.
• Escalate issues to Japan headquarters when needed.

Job description

Provide basic application services in support of semiconductor lithography equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

• Lithography machine job recipe setup and optimize parameters
• Application issue trouble shoot, including report to customer
• Learn Lithography tool fundamental knowledge and operation, also operation for related machines eg)Optical scope, CD-SEM, C/D machines
• weekend, public holidays, night time support could be happened,
• Oversea business trip, mainly southeast Asia region or Japan, Taiwan, India
• collaborate work with on-site team member engineers, or oversea Canon application engineer
• communication, report to customer directly
• escalate application issues to Japan headquarters, if necessary

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: Prefer Diploma or higher in Engineering or equivalent
• Work Experience: Two to three years, prefer application support for Semiconductor equipment
• Hands-on experience with Semiconductor wafer manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with Semiconductor Lithography equipment related process is an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of Semiconductor chip manufacturing flow
• Understanding basic structure for Lithography equipment
• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with customers.
