Job summary

Leoch International is seeking a technically strong Project Manager to lead engineering execution and project delivery in Singapore and the ASEAN region. You will own end-to-end design finalisation, FAT, site installation, and commissioning, while interfacing with customers as the technical spokesperson.

The role offers autonomy, exposure to design reviews, field commissioning, and a clear path toward senior project management or regional technical leadership. Travel within ASEAN is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years' hands-on project engineering experience in battery systems or electrical infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient in MS Project and Excel.
• Willingness to travel within ASEAN.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical delivery: design finalisation, FAT, site installation, commissioning, SAT.
• Review customer specifications, single-line diagrams, protection settings, and battery configurations.
• Lead site activities; troubleshoot installation/commissioning issues with the team.
• Serve as technical spokesperson to customers and prepare project handover docs.
• Mentor junior engineers and help raise regional engineering standards.

What You’ll Do

Technical Project Delivery

• Ownthe technical delivery of projects end-to-end: design finalisation,manufacturing oversight, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site installation,commissioning, and site acceptance testing (SAT).


• Reviewand validate customer specifications, single-line diagrams, protectionsettings, and battery string configurations.


• Developengineering submittals, method statements, and commissioning procedures.

Design & Engineering Review

• Performbattery sizing calculations, load analysis, and runtime verification.


• Reviewand secure approval for mechanical layouts, cable routing, racking, andventilation designs for battery rooms and containerised BESS.


• Ensuredesigns comply with local codes (SCDF fire safety for ESS, SS standards) andinternational standards such as UL 9540A and NFPA 855.

Site & Field Engineering

• Leador supervise site installation, termination, and commissioning activities.


• Troubleshootinstallation and commissioning issues together with the technical team (e.g.,impedance deviations, BMS integration faults, thermal anomalies).


• Conductroot-cause analysis on field defects and drive corrective actions with theafter-sales team.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Actas the technical spokesperson to customers during project execution —explaining design decisions, test results, and operational parameters.


• Prepareand present project review reports, commissioning handover documentation, andO&M manuals.


• Workwith pre-sales to review tender specifications, flag technical risks, andpropose value-engineered alternatives.

Team & Standards

• Guideand review the work of junior engineers and technicians.


• Maintainand improve internal engineering standards, checklists, and commissioningtemplates.


• Supportregional projects across ASEAN, including travel for site surveys,commissioning, and customer meetings (typically planned in advance).

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

• Diplomaor Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or arelated technical field.


• Atleast 3 years of hands-on project engineering experience in battery systems,electrical infrastructure, or construction.


• Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in MS Project andExcel.


• Clear,professional communication skills — you can explain technical decisions tocustomers and write solid project documentation.


• Well-organisedand detail-oriented, with the confidence to lead site activities and coordinatemultiple stakeholders.


• Willingnessto travel within ASEAN for site surveys, commissioning, and customer meetings.

Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)

• Familiaritywith NFPA 855 / UL 9540A and SCDF ESS fire safety requirements.


• PMPor PRINCE2 certification.


• Mandarinproficiency, which will help when coordinating with our HQ and production teamsin China.
