Job summary

Choon Huat Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer to support our technical operations and product development of power solutions, including generators, BESS, and distribution systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead small project teams, perform hands-on testing, commissioning, and service at sites, and collaborate with sales, operations, and service to deliver reliable customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in power generation, electrical distribution, or related industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of generators, energy storage systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Experience in field servicing, commissioning, or project delivery preferred.
• Ability to lead small project teams and train junior staff.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to be hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and validate generators, BESS, and distribution systems.
• Assist in commissioning, servicing, and maintenance at project sites.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all activities.

Role Overview

As aSenior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our technical operations and product development. You’ll work closely with the engineering team to ensure the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our power solutions portfolio. This role requires hands‑on expertise, problem solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Project Support

• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of generators, BESS, and distribution systems.
• Assist in commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of equipment at project sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all technical activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Propose enhancements to existing products based on field experience.
• Provide technical feedback to support new product trials and evaluations.

Team Contribution

• Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians on technical best practices.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, service) to deliver customer solutions.

Customer & Vendor Engagement

• Support technical discussions with customers, providing expertise when required.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors on component selection and technical issues.
