Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a field engineer to lead on-site installation and commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the Jurong area.

You will coordinate with customers, contractors and internal teams during project implementation and perform site testing, commissioning and integration activities. The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on electrical installation experience, knowledge of diesel generators, high-voltage systems, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience in electrical installation and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of diesel generators, electrical distribution systems, inverters and power electronics.
• Experience with high-voltage systems and energy storage safety practices.
• Hands-on BESS installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and integration.
• Able to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Proficient with electrical testing tools (multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently at project sites and manage on-site technical issues.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel to regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installations and project activities comply with safety requirements, electrical codes and relevant regulations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, testing records and project reports.
• Provide basic system operation and troubleshooting guidance to customers and project partners.
• Work closely with engineering and product development teams to provide technical feedback from project sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
