Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to prepare business cases, proposals and cost-benefit analyses for funding.
• Prepare and present Applications for Approval (AFA) to approval committees and governance forums.
• Ensure proposals meet local and global governance standards and approval requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify queries and facilitate timely approval decisions.
• Oversee end-to-end governance for IT system changes with required reviews and sign-offs.
• Ensure compliance with change management policies and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to track change requests and maintain documentation through approval.
• Monitor adherence to SDLC and change control requirements.
• Serve as liaison between local teams and Head Office on governance and approvals.
• Align local initiatives with corporate governance and reporting standards.

As a Project Governance Manager (PMO), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Collaborate with business units to prepare comprehensive business cases, project proposals and cost-benefit analyses to support funding requests.
• Prepare and present Applications for Approval (AFA) to relevant approval committees and governance forums.
• Ensure project proposals meet local and global governance standards and address all necessary approval requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify queries and facilitate timely approval decisions.
• Oversee the end-to-end governance process for IT system changes, ensuring all required reviews, approvals and sign-offs are obtained before deployment.
• Ensure compliance with established change management policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to track change requests and maintain proper documentation throughout the approval process.
• Monitor adherence to system development lifecycle (SDLC) and change control requirements.
• Serve as the key liaison between local teams and Head Office on project governance, portfolio updates and approval matters.
• Ensure local project initiatives align with corporate strategies, governance requirements and reporting standards.
• Coordinate with business units, IT teams and senior stakeholders to resolve governance issues and facilitate effective decision-making.
• Prepare project reports, governance updates and supporting documentation for management review.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of relevant PMO, Project Management or Business Analyst experience within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of IT project governance, SDLC and change management frameworks, with experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence or ServiceNow.
