Job summary

EW ELITE SEARCH PTE. LTD. is seeking an engineering professional to lead projects in high-end semiconductor automation from concept to commissioning. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and vision software teams to ensure performance and timely delivery.

The role involves managing custom requests, retrofitting, and rigorous testing of precision hardware, laser, and vision systems, while engaging global clients to define requirements and FAT procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in project management or automation engineering within semiconductor equipment or high-precision automation manufacturing.
• Understanding of precision automated machinery, vision inspection systems, electrical motion control, or laser systems is highly preferred.
• Strong documentation skills for project schedules, ECNs, and validation reports.

• Lead engineering projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring timeline compliance and budgetary control.
• Coordinate between Mechanical, Electrical Hardware, and Vision software engineering teams.
• Manage client requests for custom automation solutions, modifications, and retrofitting.
• Oversee testing and integration of precision hardware, laser marking systems, and vision inspection tools.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for global clients to define requirements and FAT.
• Work with external partners to optimize builds and maximize equipment throughput.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Project Lifecycle Management: Lead engineering projects for high-end semiconductor assembly equipment from concept to commissioning, ensuring timeline compliance and budgetary control.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate between Mechanical, Electrical Hardware, and Vision software engineering teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Customization & Retrofitting: Manage client requests for custom automated equipment engineering solutions, modifications, and retrofitting of existing fleet lines.
• Testing & Integration: Oversee the validation and testing of precision hardware, laser marking systems, high-end vision inspection tools, and ultra-precision handling systems.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the technical point of contact for global clients across consumer electronics, automotive, and healthcare sectors to define requirements and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Continuous Improvement: Work alongside external strategic automation partners to evaluate build optimization, minimizing system faults while maximizing equipment throughput.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project management or automation engineering within the semiconductor equipment or high-precision automation manufacturing industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of precision automated machinery, vision inspection systems, electrical motion control, or laser systems is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong documentation skills for project schedules, engineering change notices (ECNs), and validation reports.
