Job summary

NSEARCH GLOBAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Project Engineer to support on-site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M systems and fibre optic infrastructure. You will coordinate with the project team and transit stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality compliant with specifications.

The role requires a diploma/degree in engineering, 3+ years in relevant work, and readiness for night shifts. Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD and BIM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Network, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant project management experience.
• At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning in rail E&M or fibre optic infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with local transit stakeholders (railway/transit operator) for A&A, system upgrade, or new system implementation.
• Familiarity with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Mod Approval, engineering access procedures and stakeholder coordination in railway environments is an advantage.
• Be prepared to perform night work or engineering-hours as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions (specs, drawings, test procedures) to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Coordinate with project team and stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Monitor project schedule, update progress and report milestones to meet timelines.
• Attend meetings to ensure project delivery stays on track.
• Supervise site surveys, cable installation, network equipment installation and testing.
• Resolve site constraints, routing conflicts and core allocation issues.
• Assist troubleshooting of network equipment configuration and integration issues during installation and migration.

Job description

Our client, one of Asia-Pacific’s leading organizations is looking for:

Project Engineer
Responsibilities:

• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team in the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project requirement;
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matters, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with project requirement;
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
• Facilitate project team to monitor the project schedule, update, review and report the project progress to be in line with project timeline;
• Attend project related meetings to ensure project delivery is on track;
• Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation, network equipment installation and testing and commissioning activities;
• Facilitate resolution of site constraints, routing conflicts, FO core allocation issues and implementation-related technical matters;
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of network equipment configuration issues, communication failures, network connectivity issues and system integration issues encountered during installation, testing, commissioning and migration activities.

Requirements:

• Recognised diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Network, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline;
• Relevant project management experience
• At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M system, communications network or fibre optic infrastructure in Singapore transit environment
• Relevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system implementation work at revenue stations; and
• Familiarity with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Mod Approval, engineering access procedures and stakeholder coordination in railway environments would be an advantage
• Be expected to perform night work or engineering-hours work where required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review
