Job summary

ABSOLUT POH TEO INVESTMENT HOLDING LLP is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate project activities for rail E&M systems in Singapore’s transit environment. You will drive quality assurance through supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning to meet technical requirements.

The role involves coordinating with diverse stakeholders, reviewing submissions, monitoring progress, and ensuring on-time delivery. Occasional night work and site travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline.
• At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M systems in Singapore transit environment.
• Experience coordinating with local transit stakeholders (railway/transit operator) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review project submissions (specifications, drawings, test procedures) for compliance.
• Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and handover to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with project team and contractors to resolve site issues and clashes.
• Monitor project schedule, update and report progress to align with timeline.
• Attend meetings to ensure project delivery is on track.
• Support troubleshooting of network equipment configuration and integration during install.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate project activities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with technical requirements for rail E&M systems in Singapore’s transit environment. You will drive quality assurance through supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to resolve site issues and maintain project schedules.

Responsibilities:

The scope of Project Engineer shall include but not limited to the following:

• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team in the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project requirement;
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matters, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with project requirement;
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
• Facilitate project team to monitor the project schedule, update, review and report the project progress to be in line with project timeline;
• Attend project related meetings to ensure project delivery is on track;
• Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation, network equipment installation and testing and commissioning activities;
• Facilitate resolution of site constraints, routing conflicts, FO core allocation issues and implementation-related technical matters;
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of network equipment configuration issues, communication failures, network connectivity issues and system integration issues encountered during installation, testing, commissioning and migration activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised diploma/degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline;
• Relevant project management experience:At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M system in Singapore transit environment; andRelevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system implementation work at revenue stations; andExperience in Automatic Fare Collection System upgrade, relocation and system migration projects in transit environment would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review;
• Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work independently;
• Good collaboration and attitude to work with team members;
• Ability to cope with flexible working hours;
• Be expected to perform night work or work during engineering hours;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication skills in English; and
• Be expected to travel regularly between office and sites.
