Requirements for Project Engineer:
(a) Responsibilities:
The scope of Project Engineer shall include but not be limited to, the following:
- Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.)and facilitate project team in the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project requirement;
- Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matters, integration testing, punch list/defect work and handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with project requirement;
- Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
- Facilitate project team to monitor the project schedule, update, review and report the project progress to be in line with project timeline;
- Attend project related meetings to ensure project delivery is on track.
Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation, network equipment installation andtesting and commissioning activities;
- Facilitate resolution ofsite constraints, routing conflicts, FO core allocation issues andimplementation-related technical matters;
- Support thetroubleshooting and resolution of network equipment configuration issues,communication failures, network connectivity issues and system integrationissues encountered during installation, testing, commissioning and migrationactivities.
(b) Qualifications & Requirements:
Recognised diploma ordegree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Network,Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline;
Relevant project management experience:
- At least 3 years in projectcoordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&Msystem, communications network or fibre optic infrastructure in Singaporetransit environment.
- Relevant experience incoordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e.railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new systemimplementation work at revenue stations.
- Familiarity withPermit-to-Work (PTW), Mod Approval, engineering access procedures andstakeholder coordination in railway environments would be an advantage.
- Be expected to performnight work or engineering-hours work where required.
- Proficient in MicrosoftOffice, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review.
- Highly motivated andpro-active with the ability to work independently;
- Good collaboration andattitude to work with team members;
- Ability to cope withflexible working hours;
- Be expected to performnight work or work during engineering hours;
- Good analytical andproblem-solving skills;
- Good communication skillsin English; and
- Be expected to travelregularly between office and sites.
