Job summary

Absolut PohTeo Investment Holding in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to lead rail E&M projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with technical requirements. The role focuses on coordinating activities, supervising installation, testing and commissioning, and resolving site issues.

You will collaborate with contractors and operators, monitor schedules, attend meetings, and ensure quality handover.

Qualifications

• Recognised diploma/degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline.
• At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M systems in Singapore transit.
• Experience coordinating with local transit stakeholders for A&A, system upgrades, or migrations is advantageous.
• Experience with AFC system upgrades or migration projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team in follow-up to ensure compliance.
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matters, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and handover activity to ensure quality of work.
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Monitor the project schedule, update and report progress to stay on timeline.
• Attend project related meetings to ensure delivery is on track.
• Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation and testing and commissioning activities.
• Resolve site constraints, routing conflicts, FO core allocation issues and related technical matters.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of network configuration, communication failures, and system integration during installation, testing, commissioning and migration.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate project activities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with technical requirements for rail E&M systems in Singapore's transit environment. You will drive quality assurance through supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to resolve site issues and maintain project schedules.

Responsibilities:

The scope of Project Engineer shall include but not limited to the following:

• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team in the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project requirement;
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matters, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with project requirement;
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
• Facilitate project team to monitor the project schedule, update, review and report the project progress to be in line with project timeline;
• Attend project related meetings to ensure project delivery is on track;
• Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation, network equipment installation and testing and commissioning activities;
• Facilitate resolution of site constraints, routing conflicts, FO core allocation issues and implementation-related technical matters;
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of network equipment configuration issues, communication failures, network connectivity issues and system integration issues encountered during installation, testing, commissioning and migration activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised diploma/degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline;
• Relevant project management experience:At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M system in Singapore transit environment; andRelevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system implementation work at revenue stations; andExperience in Automatic Fare Collection System upgrade, relocation and system migration projects in transit environment would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review;
• Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work independently;
• Good collaboration and attitude to work with team members;
• Ability to cope with flexible working hours;
• Be expected to perform night work or work during engineering hours;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication skills in English; and
• Be expected to travel regularly between office and sites.
