Job summary

LAPP Asia Pacific in Singapore is seeking a Production Planning Executive to plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities across cable harness assembly lines, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal resource use.

You will work with customers, Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams; maintain ERP data, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Administration.
• 2–5 years in Production Planning, Material Planning, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in cable harness, electronics, automotive, or EMS is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand and forecasts.
• Create and maintain production schedules for assembly lines.
• Monitor capacity, manpower, machines, and material readiness.
• Balance workload across lines to maximize efficiency and output.
• Coordinate material shortages and delivery schedules with Purchasing and Warehouse.
• Support ERP/MRP transactions and material planning activities.
• Track daily performance against plan and raise bottlenecks.
• Coordinate corrective actions with Production, Quality, and Engineering.
• Update plans based on actual production results.
• Lead and guide material handling teams on prep and packing.
• Monitor WIP, raw material, and finished goods inventories.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor KPIs: OTD, Schedule, Inventory Turnover, Shortages, Efficiency.

The Production Planning Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and optimal inventory levels. The role works closely with customers, purchasing, warehouse, production, engineering, and quality departments to meet customer requirements while maintaining production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand and forecasts.
• Create and maintain production schedules for cable harness assembly lines.
• Monitor production capacity, manpower, machine availability, and material readiness.
• Balance workload among production lines to maximize efficiency and output.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams regarding material shortages and delivery schedules.
• Support ERP/MRP transactions and material planning activities.
• Monitor daily production performance against schedule.
• Identify bottlenecks, shortages, and production constraints.
• Coordinate corrective actions with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Update production plans based on actual production results.
• Lead and guide material handling team on preparation and packing process
• Monitor WIP (Work-in-Process), raw material, and finished goods inventory.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor KPIs including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Schedule Achievement, Inventory Turnover, Material Shortage Rate and Production Efficiency
• Maintain accurate planning records and ERP system data.

Skills & Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Business Administration
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Production Planning, Material Planning, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in cable harness, electronics manufacturing, automotive, or EMS environment preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP)
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
