Job summary

Houston Well Screen Asia PTE LTD is seeking a Sr. Production Planner to develop, coordinate, and maintain production plans ensuring customer needs are met efficiently, on time, and within quality and cost targets.

The role collaborates with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and other stakeholders to optimize schedules, material availability, capacity utilization, and inventory levels for operational excellence and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production plans and schedules based on customer demand, forecast requirements, inventory levels, and available production capacity.
• Translate demand requirements into achievable production schedules while considering manpower, equipment, materials, and manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor production progress and identify potential delays, capacity constraints, material shortages, and other risks impacting delivery.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to ensure production plans are executed effectively.
• Review MRP requirements and ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and other production requirements.
• Optimize production schedules to improve capacity utilization, throughput, inventory levels, and on-time delivery.
• Manage changes to production priorities and schedules in response to customer requirements, material availability, operational constraints, and business priorities.
• Track production performance against the plan and provide regular status updates, reports, and performance analysis to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce production lead times, minimize downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Support capacity planning and long-term production planning based on business forecasts and anticipated demand.
• Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to address material availability and supplier-related constraints.
• Maintain accurate planning data, production orders, schedules, and system records within ERP/MRP systems.
• Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean/operational excellence activities.
• Ensure production planning activities comply with company policies, quality requirements, HSE standards, and applicable procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to Production Planners and other planning team members as required.
