West Pharmaceutical Services Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop and execute short to mid-term supply planning activities, aligning customer demand, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity.
The role emphasizes coordinating production schedules, material availability, and collaboration across teams to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing operations in a regulated environment.
The Senior Production Planner is responsible for developing and executing both short to mid-term supply planning activities, managing end-to-end production planning process. It ensures alignment between customer demand, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity. The scope of this role is appropriate for the experience level in revenue, quantity, scale, and/or complexity. Key responsibilities include managing production schedules, coordinating material availability, optimizing machine utilization, resolving scheduling issues, and collaborating across teams to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate production planning to ensure Production Schedule is in place to support customer order requirements, replenishment of safety stock and business goal.
Maximize machines and tools capacity utilization to achieve Production Output plan, inventory goal and customer materials availability.
Collaborate with Customers, Customer Success, Supply Chain and manufacturing in managing execution of customer orders inside and outside standard lead time for Make-to-Order items
Manage/communicate prioritization requests between Supply Chain and Commercial Team; ensuring that requests are reviewed timely then tracking/communicating actions to complete final processing
Identify excess/expired/at risk inventory reviews with commercial and operations function.
Analyze production capacity constraints and provide support and recommendations for engineering projects, including tool qualification timelines, coordinating with materials team on raw material impact.
Work closely with the production team to ensure timely clearance of MRB materials to support demand and minimize potential write-off risks.
Analyze production capacity, labor availability, machine loading, material availability, and changeover requirements to ensure feasible schedules.
Monitor production plan execution and revise schedules as needed in response to changes in demand, supply shortages, downtime, quality issues, or priority changes.
Track and report key planning metrics such as schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory performance, and backlog status.
Monitor planning relevant master data for accuracy, ensuring consistent evaluations and delivering and maintaining KPI dashboard or reports on a regular basis.
Evaluate short and mid-term planning runs for inconsistencies, troubleshoot, and provide direction to Plant Supply Chain to resolve issues
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, master data accuracy, system utilization, and production flow.
Review inventory levels, work-in-process, and finished goods to maintain the right balance between service levels and inventory cost.
Lead regular planning and scheduling meetings with key stakeholders to communicate priorities, risks, constraints, and recovery actions.
Use ERP/MRP systems to generate and manage planned orders, production orders, and planning parameters.
Support quality investigations, assess impact, and collaborate with teams to ensure customer demand is met including identifying opportunities to improve and streamline the planning process.
Manage monthly Supply Chain Operations meetings with participate in supply chain related daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings to review and focus on yearly KPI targets and monthly trends to drive actions
Mentor junior planners or support team members on planning methods, tools, and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply chain, Operations Management or similar discipline
5 to 8 years' experience in Supply chain, production planning in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
MRP-SAP PP module planning experience, master production schedules, rough cut capacity plans, and resource plans
Strong excel and report development skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently

Teamwork-focused mindset
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
Lean, Agile or Six Sigma a plus.
Project Management certification is a plus.
Experience in regulated manufacturing industries such as pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, or similar sectors.
Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory optimization, forecasting, and finite scheduling.
Prior experience in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional project support.
