Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a seasoned Production Planner to optimize schedules, balance capacity, and ensure material availability for on-time shipments.

You will partner with Sales Ops, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Engineering to proactively manage risks and drive improvements across planning and inventory processes. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least five years in production planning, with strong SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint skills to deliver clear management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, inventory management, SAP systems, and material planning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales Ops, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to optimize production schedules and capacity and ensure material availability to meet shipment commitment.
• Monitor production performance, identify risks such as material shortages or capacity constraints, and drive timely recovery actions.
• Manage inventory to maintain optimal stock levels while supporting production and customer delivery requirements.
• Coordinate engineering changes, New Product Introduction (NPI), and schedule adjustments to minimize operational impact.
• Prepare and communicate daily production status updates and weekly production and inventory reports to management.
• Analyze planning and inventory data to improve production efficiency, delivery performance, and inventory health.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support cross-functional projects to enhance planning processes.

Required Qualification

• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, inventory management, SAP systems, and material planning.
• Proven experience working closely with Master Scheduling, Procurement, and Production teams to execute production plans.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare management reports.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.
