Job summary

KLA-Tencor (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to coordinate material flow, schedule production, and ensure on-time deliveries. You will collaborate across manufacturing, procurement and logistics to keep the supply chain aligned with customer orders.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or Supply Chain, at least 3 years of production planning/inventory experience, and strong Excel/SAP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Logistics.
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience in production planning and inventory management.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Macros, Word, Outlook, and experience in SAP system is highly desirable.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production planning and coordination.

Job Description

• Responsible for the production planning/co-ordination, shop scheduling and dispatching

• Support daily material/production planning based on customers’ orders

• Plans for production which includes releasing of work orders and ensuring on-time delivery of shipments based on customer requirements

• Works closely with master scheduler, manufacturing, purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure on-time receipt, delivery of materials and finished goods shipments

• Monitors and co-ordinates on material shortages, expediting and ensuring material availability to support production plan

• Manages spares planning support and ensure timely delivery of spares to distribution centre

• Drives spares repair material planning and optimize the materials needed to support the spares replenishment program

• Drives and minimize excess and obsolescence inventory

• Assists in developing, maintaining and improving existing processes, procedures and key performance metrics

• With understanding of MRP logic which related to system workorder and material positioning

• Work closely with production to ensure customer request date are met which aligned with cycle time set in the system

• Timely review and execute on ECN and ECO changes so that production is not affected.

• Willing to take up ad hoc task assigned by supervisor

• Develop actions to minimize excess inventory. Work with Inventory Analyst by providing recommendation during quarterly E&ND review. Follow through the action proposed.

• Quarterly review of safety stock to ensure an optimal balance of supply vs inventory turns.

Job Requirements

• Proficient in MS Excel, Macros, Word, Outlook, and experience in SAP system is highly desirable

• Knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts

• Experience in low volume high mix and DFT/pull manufacturing environment is a plus
