Job summary

Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Production Operator to support the execution of daily manufacturing activities in a clean and controlled environment. You will handle equipment operation, process monitoring, and essential quality checks to maintain production targets.

The role requires flexibility for permanent day or night shifts, strong teamwork, and the ability to learn quickly in a high-standard medical device setting.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in Singapore.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Able to work in cleanroom operations when required.
• Willing to work Permanent Day or Permanent Night shifts.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and manufacturing processes per procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime and hit targets.
• Conduct preventive maintenance including cleaning, servicing, and part replacement.
• Monitor and record machine/process parameters for stability.
• Perform quality inspections and sample products per standards.
• Identify and report non-conforming products as required.
• Support continuous improvement and production-related projects.
• Document and update production data in MES (output, usage, waste, downtime).
• Assist with packing, unpacking, loading, and unloading materials.
• Conduct visual inspections using inspection equipment.
• Follow all EHS, GMP, and quality requirements.

What You\'ll Be Doing

As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth production operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and manufacturing processes according to established procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime and achieve production targets.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities including cleaning, servicing, and component replacement.
• Monitor and record machine and process parameters to ensure stable and controlled operations.
• Perform quality inspections and product sampling in accordance with quality standards and specifications.
• Identify, contain, and report non-conforming products when required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, process changes, and production-related projects.
• Ensure accurate documentation and updates within manufacturing systems (MES), including production output, material usage, waste, and downtime records.
• Support material handling activities such as packing, unpacking, loading, and unloading.
• Conduct visual inspections using microscopes and other inspection equipment.
• Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

What We\'re Looking For

• Secondary School / O-Level / SPM / NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in any discipline.
• Candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including cleanroom operations when required.
• Able to commit to a Permanent Day Shift or Permanent Night Shift schedule.
• Comfortable standing and performing operational tasks for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
