Job summary

WeLead Solutions Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on prototype and manufacturing support role. You will troubleshoot production stoppages, assist engineering with improvements, and lead prototype build requests with careful scheduling.

Responsibilities include assembling prototypes, ensuring BOM/ERP accuracy, and coordinating material routing. You’ll liaise with Supply Chain, Planning, Product Engineering, Quality, and Production to address design-for-assembly concerns and maintain

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the production processes across product families.
• Prepare reports and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and wiring schematics.
• Multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiar with production methods specific to electromechanical assembly.
• Maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional departments.
• Experience with Dispatch, Syteline, Cloud Suite and related systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to wear PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection when required).
• Able to stand, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift/carry up to 20kg occasionally and 12kg frequently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production stoppages to keep production lines running smoothly.
• Support continuous improvement and optimization projects with Manufacturing Engineers.
• Lead prototype build requests and schedule completions.
• Assemble prototype products per design requirements.
• Verify BOM, ERP data, and manufacturing documents before production release.
• Coordinate with Production to identify correct material and routing.
• Ensure proper material usage and compliance with issuing procedures.
• Inspect engineering drawings for BOM accuracy; submit change notices as needed.
• Create and maintain work instructions for prototypes.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Product Engineering, Quality, and Production on design-for-assembly concerns.
• Communicate product quality and safety information and provide status updates on prototypes.
• Maintain organized documentation and filing to comply with record retention policies.
• Adhere to ISO 9001-2015 procedures and other company policies.

Job description

• Troubleshooting and resolve production stoppages to achieve smooth process flowing production lines
• Assisting Manufacturing Engineer in continuous improvement and optimization projects/activities
• Lead and coordinate prototype build requests for completeness and scheduling.
• Assemble prototype products according to design requirements.
• Analyze and ensure manufacturing documents and system accuracy - bill of materials BOM, ERP system prior to production release
• Coordinate with Production identify correct material and routing
• Ensure proper material usage and compliance with material issuing procedures.
• Complete inspection of engineering assembly drawing to BOM accuracy
• Submit engineering change notices for erroneous BOMs and engineering documents Create and maintain work instructions for completed prototypes. Make sure products meet company standards and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Work with Supply Chain, Planning, Product Engineering, Quality, Production teams regarding design-for-assembly/manufacturing concerns.
• Communicate product, quality, and safety information effectively and provide updates on prototype requests and status emails.
• Maintaining proper documentation & filing system in his work areas to comply with the record retention policy
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and practices.
• Support operational procedures compliant to ISO 9001-2015
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or manager

Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 20kg occasionally and up to 12kg frequently
