PERFORMANCE ROTORS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Production Engineer to implement and optimize assembly processes for electronic components and systems, with focus on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

You will interpret drawings, maintain work instructions, mentor technicians, and drive lean initiatives across cross-functional teams to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in electronics parts assembly/manufacturing.
• Proficiency with assembly tools, test equipment and software (SolidWorks, ERP, Office).
• Lean Manufacturing and Total Quality Management knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and maintain work instructions for assembly processes.
• Analyze workflow to identify productivity and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Mentor assembly line technicians to meet daily production targets.
• Ensure BOM availability to minimize downtime and keep schedule.
• Troubleshoot issues during assembly and testing.
• Maintain documentation for travelers, data sheets, tests and changes.
• Define test specifications and support failure analysis with test jigs.
• Support first article builds and transfer from development to production.
• Maintain compliance with safety guidelines and industry regulations.

Job Overview

The Production Engineer will be responsible for implementingand optimizing assembly processes for electronic components and systems. Thisrole focuses on quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and collaboration withcross-functional teams to ensure high standards in assembled products.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical drawings and maintain work instructions for assembly processes for product assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Contribute in process improvement initiatives, analyse workflow, and identify opportunities for increased productivity and reduced costs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to assembly line technicians to meet daily production targets
• Manage upstream and downstream requirements to ensure minimum downtime to production schedule by ensuring sufficient BOM for the line
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during assembly and testing.
• Maintain immaculate documentation for production lot travellers, process data sheets, tests records, repair histories, and configuration changes.
• Implement and verify test procedures for assembled electronic parts, assist in defining test specifications, and support failure analysis activities by creating test jigs
• Support first article build, documentation and transfer from development to production.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with safety guidelines, industry regulations, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience working in electronics parts assembly and manufacturing environments (2+ years preferred).
• Proficiency with assembly tools, test equipment, and relevant software (e.g., solidworks, ERP, office etc).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management principles is desirable.
