Job summary

WeLead Solutions Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Quality Inspector to review incoming materials against drawings and specifications, perform First Article Inspections, and document results. The role supports production with conformance issues, engages with vendors, and helps maintain Lean practices across operations.

The candidate will work with ERP systems (Syteline) and measurement tools, ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards and proper use of inspection gauges.

Qualifications

Job description

• Ensure all purchased material is reviewed & inspected for conformance against defined criteria using the necessary measurement and inspection equipment.
• Resolve nonconforming materials with the vendors and provide the support to production ensuring manufacturing processes are followed along with identifying and aiding in the troubleshooting of quality related issues.
• Inspect all incoming material to determine conformance with applicable drawings, specifications, and/or instructions
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on new part submissions
• Records inspection results into defined repository
• Responsible for controlling, processing& resolving any conformance related materials issue with proper documentation
• Creates and or updates test plans as required
• Identifies the need for increased or reduced sampling based on historical inspection data. Proactively seeks out opportunities to improve the incoming inspection process
• Material movement of inspected items
• Assists in the Quality team in investigating, containing, and controlling material that is nonconforming
• Review operations' build processes and provide constructive feedback as necessary
• Effectively communicate information regarding product, quality
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various departments including Production, Planning, Supply Chain, OPEX, Engineering Team
• Ensure the product is made to Legrand standards and take appropriate action, if needed
• Ensure that employees are using the correct tools, parts, and information they need to be fully productive
• Assist with Parts Quality Report (PQR), gauge instructions, capability data and gauge R&R studies
• Performs all duties in a timely manner, must be a team player, self-motivated, and attention to detail
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and practices

Requirements

• Able to run reports, effectively present information and respond to questions
• Possesses Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Able to use Syteline or ERP, MQ1 and other systems
• Able to learn Microsoft office
• Work experience with Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred
• Work experience with Quality Systems (AS9100, ISO9001) preferred
• Knowledge of standard wiring practices, IPC training or electrical certification preferred
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings/blueprints and BOMs
• Excellent verbal and written skills required
• Able to work independently
• Working knowledge of basic inspection (calipers, micrometers, functional gaging) equipment preferred
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, and attention to detail
• Able to put on personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to lift and carry up to 34kg occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to11kg daily.
