Job summary

Sciente Consulting in Singapore seeks a Production Manager / Section Manager to lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers, Cell Leaders, and Operators in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will drive daily production performance, pursue continuous improvement, and uphold high standards of quality, productivity, and cleanroom discipline. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on management, and the ability to implement training and action plans to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of production/manufacturing management experience.
• Hands-on people management and team leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of production KPIs (output, quality, cost, cycle time, productivity).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers, Cell Leaders, and Operators to achieve production KPIs and business objectives.
• Monitor and drive daily performance across output, quality, cost, cycle time, and productivity.
• Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute action plans to address production issues and achieve targets.
• Ensure proper cleanroom discipline, housekeeping, and operator training.

Job Summary

Mandatory Skill-set

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline;
• Must have at least 5 years of production / manufacturing management experience;
• Hands-on experience in people management and team leadership;
• Strong understanding of production KPIs including output, quality, cost, cycle time, and productivity;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement capabilities.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a high-technology manufacturing environment;
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment;
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace discipline;
• Experience driving process improvement and operational excellence initiatives;
• Experience developing and implementing training programmes for production teams.
