Job summary

GMP Recruitment Services (S) PTE LTD invites applications for a hands-on Production Assistant Supervisor to lead daily production activities during the Permanent Night Shift at our Ang Mo Kio-based manufacturing partner in Singapore.

The role requires 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, familiarity with SAP/MES, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Night shifts and team leadership are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, science, manufacturing or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes and shopfloor practices.
• Familiarity with SAP, MES or other production systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willing to work permanent night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve quality, safety and delivery targets.
• Plan and allocate manpower to support production schedules and operational requirements.
• Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with established work procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance and other internal teams to support production goals.
• Support handling, processing, packaging and storage of manufacturing materials.
• Ensure accurate production records, documentation and process traceability.
• Lead and support employee training, cross-training and skills development.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Promote and maintain workplace safety, housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Support employee engagement, performance management, coaching and team development.
