Job summary

FAXOLIF INDUSTRIES PTE LTD is seeking a Production Supervisor with a mechanical or electrical engineering background to plan daily production schedules, review orders, and supervise team leads and operators. The role involves safety compliance, 6S housekeeping, and hands-on operation across wood-work manufacturing.

Candidates should read production drawings, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and have prior supervisory experience. SAP exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hands-on and willing to learn machine operation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all consumables are delivered to production work stations on time.
• Review production orders and plan daily production schedules.
• Lead toolbox meetings and verify attendance of Team Leads and Operators at shift start.
• Coordinate overtime requests with Production Manager for timely approval.
• Adhere to SOPs and quality specs in manufacturing processes.
• Conduct random checks for correct quantity and quality of finished components.
• Maintain workplace safety and proper PPE usage; propose improvements.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping standards.
• Identify training needs for operators and report to Production Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager.

Job description

• Ensure all consumables are delivered to the production work stations on time.
• Responsible for reviewing production orders received from Sales and plan out daily production schedules
• Chair toolbox meeting & check attendance of Team Leads and Operators at the start of the shift to ensure all required employees are available.
• If overtime work is deemed necessary, arrange early in the shift and submit overtime requests to the Production Manager for timely approval.
• Adherence to approved manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality specifications in the manufacturing process.
• Conduct random check and ensure correct quantity and quality of finished components has been produced.
• Safety at Work – proper use of equipment, elimination of potential safety hazards, correct use of PPE, gloves, ear plugs, dust masks etc. Recommend any safety improvements.
• Housekeeping and cleanliness in accordance with 6 'S' principles.
• Highlight to Production Manager for any training required for operators.
• Perform other duties as required by the Production Manager.

Requirements:

1. Have a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. Prior experience in a "wood work" manufacturing environment, including production planning experience and supervisory responsibilities.
3. Ideally able to read production drawings.
4. Willing to be hands-on and learn the operation of all machines.
5. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office.
6. Experience in SAP is an added advantage.
