Job summary

Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement across assigned categories, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery. You will drive supplier qualification, contract governance, and risk mitigation while optimizing savings and supplier performance.

The role requires collaborating with stakeholders, managing bids and RFQs, and maintaining rigorous procurement records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in procurement, supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• Recognition of procurement qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of global procurement experience.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI and procurement systems such as SAP or Coupa desirable.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially aware, organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement for assigned categories, projects, or operational needs to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, budgets, and delivery timelines.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and service providers to build a reliable supplier base.
• Conduct requests for quotation, tenders, bid evaluations, price benchmarking, and commercial analyses to support sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, service levels, warranties, and liabilities to secure optimal commercial agreements.
• Prepare, review, renew, and administer contracts, framework agreements, confidentiality agreements, and related procurement documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality standards, pricing, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Resolve procurement issues including delays, discrepancies, claims, and supplier performance concerns to maintain supply chain continuity.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, pricing information, contracts, and savings documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Analyze spend patterns, demand forecasts, market trends, supplier capabilities, and commercial risks to inform category and sourcing strategies.
