  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or trading environment advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Navision or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory, shipping documentation, import/export, and customs clearance advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

Executive Summary

The Procurement Executive is responsible for supporting the Company's procurement function by ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing, purchasing, and supply of materials and services required for manufacturing and trading operations. The incumbent will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize procurement processes, maintain inventory efficiency, support logistics activities, and provide analytical insights to drive business performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and other operational requirements.
  • Execute procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and support business objectives.
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing competitiveness, and reliable delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective vendor management.
  • Perform three-way matching of Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Orders (DO), and supplier Invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
2. Inventory, Logistics & Operational Support
  • Forecast material requirements and inventory trends to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and wastage.
  • Monitor inventory movements and support inventory control initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate shipment arrangements and ensure timely processing of shipping documentation, import/export permits, and customs clearance requirements.
  • Work closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to ensure uninterrupted material supply and smooth operational execution.
  • Support procurement-related activities for both manufacturing and trading businesses.
3. Stakeholder Management, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, and other departments to align procurement activities with business needs.
  • Serve as a key liaison to facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams.
  • Compile, analyse, and interpret procurement, supplier, and inventory data, and prepare reports and recommendations for management review.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, operational efficiency, and inventory management practices.
  • Support departmental projects, system enhancements, and other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
1. Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, food manufacturing, FMCG, or trading environment will be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Navision or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, shipping documentation, import/export processes, and customs clearance will be advantageous.
2. Skills & Competencies
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing practices, supplier management, and direct materials purchasing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills with the ability to follow through on tasks and projects.
  • Eligible to work in Singapore
  • 5 days work week, Monday to Friday
