Job summary

C & W Electronics Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced procurement professional to support sourcing, costing, and supplier management for manufacturing and trading activities.

You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and other departments to secure materials, manage BOM costings, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring timely deliveries and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years in a similar procurement/supply chain role.
• Experience in manufacturing environment advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin for business correspondence and supplier communication.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials and services for manufacturing or trading.
• Submit project costing by providing cost data to Sales Engineers or Managers for final costing.
• Prepare and maintain product BOM costing.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best terms and maintain supplier relationships.
• Follow up on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews.
• Support localization and cost-reduction initiatives as directed.

Job Responsibilities

• Sourcing and procure of raw materials & services necessary for the manufacturing or trading of products or services;
• Support the Sales Quote Process by submitting Project Costing for new projects to individual Sales Engineers or their Managers for their final costing;
• Prepare and maintain product Bill of Materials (BOM) costing.
• Negotiate with existing &prospective suppliers for the best terms & conditions and maintain relationships on strategic or critical supplies;
• Evaluate existing suppliers as needed & Qualify New potential suppliers for their suitability and capabilities;
• Support localization programs and initiate cost-reduction activities set by the management from time to time or on a regular basis and to meet those targets.
• Work with various departments on the smooth kick-off of projects and NPI (New product introduction) such as procuring and buying initial lot to support new projects.
• Follow up on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews.
• Conduct price comparisons and cost analysis.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
• Working experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required to handle business correspondence, communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, and follow up with existing customers who primarily communicate in Mandarin.
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong numerical and analytical skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data and figures.
• Experience in managing and coordinating with both local and overseas suppliers.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping arrangements will be an added advantage.
• Relevant qualifications in Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good commercial awareness and cost-consciousness, with the ability to evaluate pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
