Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or order processing.
• Familiar with purchase order processes and vendor coordination.
• Good communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
• Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple requests efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy, following up on discrepancies.
• Source suitable vendors and coordinate pricing, product availability and delivery schedules.
• Review vendor quotations and compare prices against historical purchasing records.
• Maintain and update price lists when required.
• Create new item records and assist with new vendor onboarding in SAP.
• Support vendor assessments and account creation processes where necessary.
• Liaise and negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders and handle amendments within timelines.
• Ensure purchase orders receive approvals and are issued to vendors and requestors promptly.
• Monitor order status and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Respond to internal stakeholder enquiries regarding order status, changes and cancellations.
• Assist with quarterly stocktakes and provide backup support to team members.
• Perform other ad-hoc procurement duties as assigned.
