Job summary

TEN-LEAGUE ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a maternity cover procurement and logistics professional in Singapore.

You will manage end-to-end sourcing, tenders, contract negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery tracking to maintain optimal inventory and supplier performance. You will handle LC documentation, customs compliance, shipping documents, and coordination with sales and customer service to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in procurement or logistics, preferably in construction machinery.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and in a team.
• Hands-on experience in LC documentation.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping.
• Proficient with procurement and inventory management software.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end procurement management including sourcing, tenders, and vendor negotiations.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers for best value.
• Place purchase orders and track deliveries to maintain inventory.
• Handle contract and vendor relationship management, supplier risk monitoring.
• Monitor and coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines on cargo deliveries.
• Handle Import and Export LC documentation.
• LC preparation and negotiation.
• Monitor and track shipments, provide updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading, packing list, origin certificates).
• Maintain records and reports (shipping manifests, delivery records, inventory levels).
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, laws, and company policies.

Job description

This position is a maternity cover role for an initial period of 5 months or longer, subject to business requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Manage end-to-end procurement, including sourcing, tenders, and vendor negotiations.
• Negotiating favorable contract terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value for the business.
• Placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Handle contract and vendor relationship management, including supplier risk monitoring.
• Monitor and co-ordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines on deliveries of cargoes.
• Handling of Import and Export LC documentation.
• LC preparation and negotiation.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing list and certificates of origin etc.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including shipping manifests, delivery records, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, laws, and company policies.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a procurement or logistics role, preferably within the construction machinery industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on experience in L/C.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and international shipping procedures (preferred).
• Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
