Job summary

CWA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Procurement professional in Singapore to source, compare and procure materials for ongoing projects.

You will liaise with local and overseas suppliers (primarily China), issue purchase orders, track deliveries and support admin tasks including HR-related duties when needed. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred, with strong negotiation and organisation skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any discipline; Building, Architecture, Engineering or Supply Chain is a plus.
• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement or admin within construction, architecture, interior design or building materials preferred.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) for communication with suppliers and subcontractors in China.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
• Confident negotiator and clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing & Procurement for ongoing projects.
• Source, compare and procure materials, products and services for projects.
• Liaise with local and overseas suppliers, mainly China, on quotations, pricing, lead times and delivery.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare summaries and recommend suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders and track orders through delivery; follow up on delays or defects.
• Coordinate with forwarders on shipping and import docs; site/warehouse deliveries.
• Work with project managers to understand requirements and schedules.
