Job summary

SWP CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a diligent procurement specialist in Singapore to source, evaluate and manage suppliers, handling the full purchasing cycle from PR through PO to delivery.

You will coordinate with project teams to ensure timely supply, monitor stock levels, and drive cost savings. The role requires a Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years in procurement, preferably in construction/engineering, with strong negotiation and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 2 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience.
• Familiar with construction materials and Singapore supplier market.
• Knowledge of RFQ, quotation comparison, PO and delivery coordination.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and manage suppliers based on price competitiveness, quality, reliability, service and delivery performance.
• Handle full purchasing cycle: PR, RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO issuance and delivery follow-up.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other terms with suppliers.
• Purchase construction materials, tools, equipment for sites and offices.
• Coordinate with Project/Site Teams to ensure timely supply and avoid disruption.
• Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment.
• Track outstanding POs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Verify supplier invoices against PR/PO/DO before Finance submission.
• Maintain supplier database, price lists and records.
• Monitor price movements and seek cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain purchasing documentation per ISO procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist in resolving issues such as incorrect deliveries, shortages, pricing discrepancies, and performance.
