Job summary

KYEC SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quality Assurance and Process Engineer to sustain ISO 9001, IATF16949, and VDA 6.3 QMS programs in a manufacturing setting. You will manage supplier quality, create process docs, and drive audits to meet industry standards.

The ideal candidate holds a engineering/QA bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years in QA or process engineering, and is proficient in SPC, RCA, and CAPA; Six Sigma Green Belt or CQE is a plus.

• Proficient in SPC, RCA, and CAPA systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or QMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ISO9001, IATF16949, and VDA 6.3 QMS.
• Manage supplier and inbound materials; ensure compliance.
• Create and update documents, SOPs, forms, and records.
• Conduct regular audits for compliance with standards.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and QC plans.
• Investigate non-conformities and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement CAPAs to address defects or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to reduce variability and waste.
• Collect and analyze quality data; report performance metrics.
• Lead quality improvement projects and training.

Job description

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the company's ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA 6.3 (QMS).
• Supplier and incoming raw material Management, IECQ QC080000, REACH, RoHS, GP, etc
• The document, work instructions, forms and records are properly created, updated, established, controlled and maintained.
• Conduct regular audits of manufacturing or service processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications.
• Investigate raw material non-conformities and perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address defects or process inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with teams to develop solutions and prevent recurrence of quality issues
• Collect and analyze quality data from various stages of the process.
• Prepare reports on quality performance metrics, including defect rates, process capability (CP, CPK), and trends.
• Present findings and recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and reduce variability, waste, and inefficiencies.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement projects to enhance raw material inspection stability and consistency.
• Provide training to incoming inspection and engineering teams on quality standards, procedures, and problem-solving techniques.
• Develop and promote quality awareness across the organization.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or process engineering role, preferably in manufacturing or production environments
• Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Auditor) is a plus
• Proficient in statistical process control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective / Preventive Action (CAPA) systems
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 or equivalent
