Job Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain quality control plans for manufacturing processes and products.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or equivalent).
- Monitor product quality through inspections, audits, SPC, and process capability studies.
- Review and approve inspection plans, control plans, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Quality Lead for customer audits/visits, working with respective Production/Engineering Team to get all the documents and production shop floor ready for the audits.
- Interpret technical drawing and analyze CMM inspection reports.
- Perform measuring on critical dimensions of the parts by CMM, micrometer, vernier caliper, gauges, smart scope, roundness tester, microscopes etc.
- Use of the Departmental Quality Systems, Smart QC, High QA and NCR module to perform day-to-day duties.
- Generate Inspection Plans for Incoming, In-process and Outgoing Inspections.
- Generate Work Instructions for inspection-related processes.
- Perform First Article Inspection report and buyoff with the customers.
- Perform Source Inspection with the customers as requested.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality tools.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for quality improvement.
- Support process optimization to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
- Participate in failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for new and existing processes.
- Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of measuring equipment, jig and fixtures.
New Product Introduction (NPI)/Engineering Support
- Support new product launches by ensuring quality standards are defined and met.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure design-for-quality and manufacturability principles are applied.
- Validate process changes and engineering updates to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Generate Process Control Plan and FMEA with Engineering Team.
- Responsible for maintaining Non-conforming Product Control (Reject Material Report) procedure. Analyze and review Reject Material Report (RMR) with Engineering/Production when non-conformance found. Work with Engineering/Production to resolve on any of the non-conformance found.
Audits & Compliance
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support external audits from customers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformances.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality standards and company policies.
Position Requirements
Education Requirements:Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience Level Requirements: 3 years of QC/QA experience in Precision Engineering, manufacturing environment will be preferred
Skills Desired
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality methodologies.
- Proven experience in a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated track record in driving quality improvements and resolving complex quality issues.
- Knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques such as Gage R&R, CPK, DOE will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality software tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
