Job summary

MEINHARDT (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support team directors in delivering complex high-rise developments. You will supervise staff, ensure design quality, and coordinate calculations and meetings.

The role requires 8–10 years in consulting, hands-on knowledge of design software, and familiarity with HDB projects. Masters is preferred; strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of design experience in a consulting environment.
• Experience on high-rise residential, commercial or mixed-use projects.
• Hands-on experience with HDB projects.
• Proficient with the latest design software and analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Directors in fulfilling their duties.
• Supervise and coordinate with subordinate staff.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of designs.
• Produce sketch drawings and carry out design calculations.
• Check design calculations and documentation for compliance.

Assist the Team Directors in the performance of their duties

Supervise and coordinate with subordinate staff

Ensure quality and accuracy of designs

Offer suggestions to improve the designs

Produce sketch drawings

Carry out design calculations

Check design calculations

Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/ Approved Concept

Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and office standards

Check documentation complies with design

Attend and participate in design meetings

Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual

REQUIREMENTS

• Recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering, as a minimum. Masters preferred.
• 8-10 years of design experience in a consulting Environment.
• Must have design experience in high rise residential, commercial or mixed development projects.
• Must have experience in HDB.
• Fully familiar and hands-on knowledge of the latest design software.
• Experience on Non-Linear Dynamic Analysis.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with the analysis and design of large building projects in structural steel, R.C. and post tensioned concrete
