Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 2+ years embedded firmware development experience, or Bachelor’s/Master’s in computer or electrical engineering with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Embedded security domain knowledge is advantageous.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Rust; Python is a plus.
• Experience with storage interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS) is beneficial.
• Experience in storage industry or storage systems is advantageous.
• Ability to develop, debug, and modify firmware; resolve firmware issues.
• Ability to apply AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for research and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop security firmware IP subsystems for SSD products meeting technical specs including security, performance, functionality, and quality.
• Create firmware unit and functional tests ensuring quality and performance across integration stages.
• Communicate progress and status clearly to management and cross-functional teams.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the firmware team and related functions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and contribute to AI-enabled enhancements within scope.
